make a shower curtain……?

i want to make a “quilted” shower curtain for my bathroom i’m wanting bright colors and prints and i need to know what colors and what kind of fabric would be best to make this…. and maybe even directions on how to make it although i have a pretty good idea of what to do….. im planing on using ribbons as hooks but what would i put in the hole to keep it from fraying?

You can use any fabric, so long as it’s washable and you put a shower curtain liner behind it that’s waterproof. May want to consider spraying some scotchguard waterproofing on the back near the bottom just to be safe after it’s completed. Metal rivets that look like little metal donuts will keep the buttonholes from fraying. Or just don’t use holes at all, sew on the ribbon straight on and tie them in loops directly around the rod to attach it. Sounds like a cute idea, good luck!
